Our package is ideal for those who want to enjoy a holiday among the beauties of Tuscia, to discover the cultural and natural wonders that the area can boast, immerse yourself in its history and its treasures, taste the gastronomic excellence and all the typical products of the territory. The program consists of 7 days in which you will be guided through the treasures of Tuscia such as Civita di Bagnoregio, Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, Villa Lante in Bagnaia, but also among the Regional Parks of the Treja Valley or Lake Bracciano enjoying the delicacies of the territory.
The Tuscia Experience program
First day: Sutri and the Monte Gelato waterfalls
In the morning a visit to the Ancient City of Sutri awaits us, a suggestive village with remote origins rich in history and places to visit, including a large series of rock tombs from the VI-IV century BC, the rock church of Madonna del Parto, first Etruscan sepulcher and then a place of worship dedicated to the god Mithras. Following free lunch in the city and in the afternoon a pleasant walk inside the Valle del Treja Regional Park where the enchanting Monte Gelato waterfalls are located. Return to the Bed & Breakfast, dinner at the partner restaurant and overnight stay.
Second day: Viterbo and Villa Lante in Bagnaia
The first stage will be dedicated to the visit of the splendid Villa Lante in Bagnaia, one of the greatest achievements of the Italian sixteenth century, with the Fontana dei Mori by Giambologna, the Italian gardens, the two Gambara and Montalto buildings, and a spectacular system of fountains and Water games. We will continue to discover the beautiful city of Viterbo, with free lunch in the city and free afternoon to visit the many beauties that the city offers. Return to the hotel and cooking class at the Antica Osteria il Mitreo with dinner. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Third day: visit of Tarquinia and Tuscania
The day begins with the visit of Tarquinia, symbol of Etruscan art par excellence and a medieval town of great charm, free lunch and in the afternoon we will visit Tuscania, one of the most suggestive medieval villages in Tuscia with the two basilicas of San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore, authentic masterpieces of Romanesque architecture. In the evening return to the B&B and dinner at the Antica Osteria il Mitreo restaurant.
Fourth day: visit to Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city
A guided tour of Civita di Bagnoregio awaits us, the so-called Dying City, with its timeless appearance and the magical atmosphere that can be perceived while walking through its narrow alleys. At the end transfer to Castiglione in Teverina with visit to one of the historic cellars with tasting and light lunch with typical local products. In the afternoon return to the Bed & Breakfast and dinner with overnight stay.
Fifth day: Caprarola, Palazzo Farnese and the Terme dei Papi
After having breakfast visit Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, one of the most important late Renaissance works in Europe. Followed by a relaxing afternoon at the Terme dei Papi in Viterbo with free lunch, swimming in the thermal pool and beauty farm. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, dinner at the partner restaurant and overnight stay.
Sixth day: Odescalchi Castle and Bracciano Lake with boat excursion
The sixth day will be dedicated to visiting the suggestive Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, with free lunch. After the lunch break, an excursion on the motorboat Sabazia II awaits us, which will lead you to discover the history and anecdotes relating to the lake and its major inhabited centers, Bracciano, Anguillara and Trevignano. Return to the B&B, dinner at the restaurant and overnight.
Seventh and last day
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Rome.
